What needed solving
Most mobile PDF apps are either bloated with ads, locked behind expensive subscriptions, or missing the tools people actually use day to day. Students, professionals and small business owners in South Africa needed a fast, trustworthy way to view, merge, scan and manage documents - without juggling multiple apps or paying for features they never touch.

What I built
Avelix PDF - a native Android productivity app published on Google Play under Coding with CS. Built with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose for a clean Material 3 experience, it brings viewing, scanning, merging, signing and AI-assisted document help into one app. A simple home screen, organised tool categories and saved files make everyday PDF work fast and intuitive on any Android device.
